We have all developed parts of our personality due to circumstances from childhood, and throughout our lives that we hope to change, or may not even fully understand yet. Somewhere along the line we were told or taught something that left a deep seated imprint on the way we view ourselves that may have actually scarred how we think, feel, respond and behave. As we age we don’t always realize how these beliefs have been stored in our subconscious mind resulting in impulsive decisions or behaviors that can self sabotage the very life we are trying to build.
Hypnotherapy helps us shed imposed parts of our "taught" personality by directly contacting the subconscious mind and altering its developed belief systems. By imprinting a more positive outlook, broader perspective, and constructive narratives on the subconscious mind we change our response mechanisms to those more aligned with our desired goals and outcomes from what we want out of life.
Visual imagery and metaphors during Hypnosis are used to alter the self sabotaging defense mechanisms of the mind, so we can build a life that resonates with our core being. When we can reconnect with who we are, and discover what we hope to evolve, our path begins to feel more like our own. When our mind operates from a place of insecurity and unrest it buries the voice of our intuition. When the intuition is stifled by the mind’s overactive impulses driven by safety and survival, we struggle to decipher what choices come from the heart versus the choices controlled by fear. Our very own thoughts can hinder us from progression simply because the mind believes its job is to keep us safe and secure. However beyond those thoughts lies a voice encouraging us to take chances, be brave, trust the unknown, and exercise our ability to adapt to change. We no longer live in a world with the same imposed threats against our survival, as our ancestors once did, and therefore the mind’s defense mechanisms are outdated and limited in today’s day and age.
The use of guided Hypnotherapy gives us an opportunity to go deeper into our own awareness, and to review ourselves from other angles, so we can see what needs to be addressed. This helps us develop an understanding of how many possibilities we actually have when making choices along our path. When we examine ourselves in this way we can gain more understanding of who we truly are and how much more there is to discover. By embarking on this journey through self discovery, hypnotherapy offers a different lens for us to view our goals and desired outcomes while providing ourselves a means for personal growth and development. As we gain a deeper understanding of who we are and what we want out of life, we can use hypnotherapy as a tool to rewire and reform our beliefs around our own success and personal achievements.
By implementing new suggestions within the subconscious mind, Hypnotherapy can alter thought patterns and insight to boost confidence and the belief in ourselves. This helps rewire the subconscious mind’s patterning to create a more balanced and harmonious relationship with ourselves. When we improve upon this relationship we can see the ripple effect providing more stability and positivity in our external world. This is a valuable tool when it comes to self care, mental health, and overall wellness. This choice to evolve is an opportunity for mindset repair. It rebuilds the foundation we need in order to inspire the overall transformation of how we can connect with ourselves and our way of processing and responding to life.

This article articulates very well the way hypnosis has worked for me and the changes I was seeking to make for a long time. I highly recommend meeting with Chenelle Barratt. She seems to have a good grasp on self development..
